ST. GERMAIN, Janice Mary Etta (nee Skillen) - In Loving Memory of Janice Mary Etta St. Germain (nee Skillen), 74 years. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 2nd, 2011 at Maison Vale Hospice, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Germain St. Germain of Copper Cliff. Loving mother of David and Donald both of Sudbury. Predeceased by her parents James Oliver and Violet Emily (nee Croteau) Skillen. Dearest sister of Nora Skillen of Sudbury, Shirley King (husband Frank deceased) of Ajax, Glenda Wilmot (husband Herb) of Victoria B.C., Gordon Skillen of Surrey B.C., Robert Skillen (wife Candace) of Oshawa and predeceased by James Francis Skillen 1990. Will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Janice was born and raised in Sudbury. She married Germain in Garson on August 4th, 1956. A driven woman, who, when she put her mind to something, she made it happen. An active member of St Stanislaus Church, she served as a lay minister and as a career woman, she spent over 25 years as a realtor and many years operating her clothing store (Henrietta's Fashions). Her favorite pastimes were spending time at the cottage on Fairbank Lake and loved sewing and creating quilts for the special people in her life. A devoted wife of 54 years, her family always remained her priority. Janice will forever be our Hero and always in our hearts. The family wish to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Linda Tenhunen and Rhodine White at Sudbury Regional Cancer Centre and to the wonderful staff at Maison Vale Hospice for their kindness and care given to Janice and who became good friends during our time of need. The family will honour her request of no visitation and no service. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium, Sudbury.
