STEINKE, Byrna Frances - September 18, 1925 - March 3, 2012. It is with sorrow that the family announces the passing of Byrna F. Steinke, Saturday March 3 at The Espanola Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Verner Steinke, loving mother of Karen (George) Ayton, Lois (the late Tom McGreggor), Ron (Judy), Terry (Isabel), Doug, the late Jean (Michael) Moffatt, Sheila (Richard) Diguer and Wade (Diana). Cherished grandmother of Tammy, Heather, Tina, Shane, Steven, Martin, Candice, Rayanne, Bill, Tanya, Tracey, Corry, Robyn, Jordyn, Joshua and Julien. She is also the very proud great grandmother of 17 great and great-great grandmother of 2. A longtime resident of the Massey area, a dedicated supporter of the Massey Museum, Byrna will be truly missed by numerous friends and relatives. Those who knew her, will miss her. Cremation was her wish and a memorial service will be held Thursday March 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at faith Lutheran Church in Massey. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Massey Area Museum would be greatly appreciated by her family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
