STONIER, Albert William “Al“ - In Loving Memory of Albert William “Al“ Stonier, 65 years, Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Margaret (Randall) Stonier. Loving father of Autumn Stonier, Amanda McDonald (Dean), Aimée Marlok (Chris) and April Gobbi (Mike). Cherished grandfather of Abigail, Mercedes, Seth, Brooklyn, Rebecca and Kyle. Dear son of Robert and Elsie Stonier predeceased. Dear brother of Raymond Stonier predeceased (wife Thelma). Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his feline friends Gordy and Normy. Born in England, Al moved to Canada at age 6 settling in Sudbury from Fergus in 1978. He was well respected insurance professional working within the business for over 30 years. He was a dedicated member of the Nickel Lodge AF&AM #427 and 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rit. He was a longtime volunteer for the Kidney Foundation and in healthier times and avid golfer and hockey fan. Al will be remembered for a strong personality and a great sense of humour. He was devoted to his family and he was happiest when in their company. The light of his life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. A Masonic Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday under the auspices of the Nickel Lodge AF&AM #427. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
