SULLIVAN, Lilliane Valentine (née Dubreuil) - The family announces with great sorrow the passing of our cherished mother Lilliane Valentine Sullivan at the Sudbury Regional Hospital on March 29, 2011. Born July 26, 1931 in Sudbury, daughter of the late Nelson and Marie (Corvec) Dubreuil. Lilliane devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She provided unrelenting encouragement and support to her family. Her love was always unconditional. She drew incredible strength from her love of God and would often offer prayers to St. Jude and St. Anthony on behalf of those in need. We would affectionately tease her that she had “pull“ with the “Boss“ upstairs. She is survived by her loving children Richard (Rachel Brunet), Joy (John Jones), Susan, Peter (Gail Yourth) and Sandra (Donald Gibson). Dear grandmother of Patricia Sullivan (Gary Marcuccio), Gorden Sullivan (Diana Smith), Christopher Jones (friend Patricia Hummel), Michael Jones (friend Ashlee Thornton) and Monique Sullivan (Stéphane Paquin). Great grandmother of Lochlan and Maeva Sullivan and honorary great-grandma' Lil to Maurisun Hess, Jayden and Jacob Hummel and Keenan Thornton as well as honorary grandma, great-grandma and great-great- grandma to the Gibson family. Loving sister of the late Patrick (Eunice Sullivan), the late Rita (late Jim Dempsey), Annette (late Keith Sullivan) and Claire (Ron Senske). She is also survived by her children's father Joseph Colin Sullivan and many nieces and nephews. Her dear friends Gert Demeis and Rita Taillefer will sadly miss her. At Lilliane's request there will be no service or visitation. Graveside prayers will be held at a later date. The family extends its heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and staff at the Sudbury Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their kind and compassionate care.
