In loving memory of James “Jimmy” Suotala 65 years.
January 14, 1959 – February 18, 2024
Jimmy passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.
Beloved husband and best friend of Carole (nee Audette) for 34 years. Loving father of Jose (Corin), and Joshua (Carrigan). Cherished grandfather of Jovi, Phoenix, and Selena. Dear brother of Ray Suotaila (Debbie), Linda Poulton, Patsy MacDonald, Barb Lameroux (Mike), and Susan Duncan (Robbie). Predeceased by his parents Vic and Ida Lapointe (Bill), and brother Rick. Brother-in-law of Gisele, Richard (Melana), Gaetan (Danielle), Maurice (Gisele), Marcel (Betty), Louise (Garry), and Gaston. Jimmy will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jim, the youngest of seven children, loved the outdoors. For many years he loved going camping with his family where many birthdays were celebrated. His wife Carole was the love of his love, and his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Jim loved life and lived it to the fullest.
A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Health Sciences North third floor ICU for their care.
At James’ request there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation, Diabetes Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
