In Loving Memory of Louise Christine Sutcliffe (née Landry), 76 years.

The family announces with sorrow her death Friday evening, July 21st, 2023, at Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury.

Beloved wife of Ivan R. Sutcliffe (78 years) for over 50 years, he predeceased her in 2019.  Loving mother of Anne (Eric Major), Daniel (Faris Almaqdasy) and Tammy (Derek Bellefontaine). Cherished grandmother of Christine (Larry Thomas), Sydney (Christine Dioguardi), Amélie, Maeve (Matteo Buttarella), Noah (Taya). Predeceased by her parents Armand and Rita (nee Desbiens) Landry.  Dear sister of Normand predeceased, Gérard (Rosie), Marie-Jeanne Vettoretti (Rigo) and Norman (Denise).  Will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, and her precious canine friend Mimi.

Louise was a retired school teacher (2001) where for over 30 years she enjoyed working, singing and performing rhythm band with her jk/sr. kindergarten students. She was an avid lover of singing with a variety of choirs over the years including The Marion Singers, The Sudbury Singers, Les Troubadours, Le Chœur de l’Ouest (online from Ottawa) as well as providing music for many years with her husband at many church weddings performing her traditional “Ave Maria” and “Panis Angelicus”.

As a faithful catholic, she also often participated in the church choir. Another favourite pastime was taking photos, recording, filming, and decorating her home for every holiday where family and friends would often gather. Since retiring, she greatly treasured time spent with her children and cherished grand-children and was anxiously anticipating the arrival of her first great granddaughter. Louise leaves a rich legacy of love, faith and goodness and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, 14 Beech Street, Sudbury on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 11am.

Donations in memory of Louise to Maison McCulloch Hospice Sudbury would be greatly appreciated.
