SUTHERLAND, Barbara Louise (nee Bernard) - In Loving Memory of Barbara Louise Sutherland (nee Bernard) 81 Years Peacefully Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of William Edward Sutherland predeceased 2010. Loving mother of Brenda Todd (Gaston Labonté), Kathy (Bill Hancharyk), Bob (Angele Cadorette) and Cindy. Cherished Nanny of Darryl Todd (Lindsey), Ashley Todd (Derek), Jeffrey Thibert (Samantha), Jennifer Hancharyk (Kevin), Kayla Hancharyk (Joffre), Steven, Justin and Keandra Sutherland, Clint Cadorette (Nathalie), Eric and Vincent Cadorette and Mackenzie Mayer and great grandchildren, Devin and Nicholas. Dear daughter of Noah and Rose Bernard predeceased. Dear sister of Dorothy Van den Bosch and Beverley Anderson (Alan) and predeceased by Noah, Alfred, Danny, Anita , Stella and Lillian. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special sister-in-law to Kaarine Sutherland. Born in Oak Lake Manitoba Barbara moved to the Sudbury area as a child. She married Bill Sutherland in 1953 in Sudbury. Barbara had been a cashier at Canadian Tire and local grocery stores for many years. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, camping and fishing. Barbara will be remembered as a very caring and understanding person who was always quick to help others. The focus of her life was her family. She was happiest when in their company. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel SATURDAY, February 26th, 2011 at 3 P.M. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery.
