Taylor, Austin Christopher

Austin Christopher Taylor passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 at the age of 27yrs.

As a young boy, Austin enjoyed his summers at camp where he spent hours hunting for fossils, fishing, hiking and delighting in endless summer days with his family. As a result, he grew up to be a lover of nature and enjoyed the tranquility of being at one with God’s creation.

He had a big heart and enjoyed doing things for others without being recognized for it in hopes

of helping someone out whether it be a family member or a stranger. He was a man of few words but he always asked how everyone was doing.

He had a great love for the Bible and would often be found curled up on his bed for hours reading it and sharing what he learned openly with friends and family in hopes of awakening their thirst for God. He had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that would brighten the darkest of days. He was an extraordinary young man who pursued his dreams with a singular passion and determination that led him to accomplish many extraordinary feats.

He will forever be loved and missed beyond words by his father Chris Taylor (Chantal) and his mother Angele (nee Poulin) and step-dad Bryan Lafreniere. Forever missed by his big sister Julia-Paige(Odell) D’Souza, little brother Kyle Taylor and bonus brothers Jamey(Julie) Dohanich and

Carter Lafreniere. Cherished grandson of Raymond and Barbara Taylor (both predeceased), Jean-Paul and Suzanne Poulin “Memere and Pepere”, and Edward and Shirley Lafreniere. Lovingly remembered by his surviving great grandmothers, Memere Gravelle and Grand-Maman Poulin. He will be missed by his niece Quinn and nephews Desmond, Dallas and Gabriel. Austin will be forever loved by many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Now in harmony with his spiritual beliefs Austin is ultimately unfettered and reunited with the Lord. May you rest in peace my beloved son.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Samaritan Centre or the CAMH would be greatly appreciated. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.

“Come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you.” Matthew 11:28
