TAYLOR, Viola Ruth - In loving memory of Viola Ruth Taylor (nee Kelly) who passed away July 7th, 2012: Viola was born in Sudbury on November 29, 1925. As a young woman, she joined the Canadian Air Force where she received her training in accounting. She worked for the Sudbury Star in the accounting department for a number of years and was Paymaster for the City of Sudbury from 1966 to 1974. She was office manager for her husband's firm – Taylor and Beange Co. Ltd. before retiring in May 1993. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 139. Her husband, Charles Henry Taylor, predeceased her as did a daughter, Margaret Ferguson (Dan) of Prince Edward Island. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Dow (Ross, predeceased) of Lake Penage and Janet Babij (Tim) of Athens, Ontario. She will be sorely missed by her five grandchildren, Charles Dow and Paul Dow of North Carolina, Robert Babij (Carolyn) of Kingston Ontario, Katie and Shelley Babij of Ottawa, her four great grandchildren, her dear friends, including Bill and Grace Surphlis, Maurice Bernier and Gwen Keliikoa, and by the wonderful, loving staff on second floor at Extendicare York.
