In loving memory of André Therrien who passed away unexpectedly at age 77, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 23 at Health Sciences North.
He was from a farm in St.-Jérome, Québec, moved to Greater Sudbury in the late 60’s, met his dear wife (Georgette), and proceeded to work in the mines for 30+ years. Loving son of the late William and Philomene (Robitaille) Therrien. Survived by two loving sisters, Lucille, and Marie. Predeceased by his loving siblings, Henri, Gérard, Marguerite, Monique, Huguette, and Lise. Survived by, his caring wife Georgette Therrien (Monette), and predeceased by his mother-in-law Lorraine Monette; also survived by his loving children Natalie Therrien (Dave Bell family friend), Marc Therrien (wife Chantal). Survived by his loving grandchildren, Renelle Therrien (daughter of Natalie, family friend Nikita), Anik and Kylee Therrien (daughters of Marc and Chantal). An avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting with his friends and family, especially his best friend, his son Marc, having many laughs and beers together. He was a loving husband to his wife of over 54 years, a hardworking man, a devoted father, and a caring pepére to his grandkids. He leaves behind many fond memories for those who knew him, and his family who will miss him dearly.
A big thanks to long time family friends, Richard (co-worker from Falconbridge Mine) and Viola Auger, who came to visit him in his last moments. We would also like to thank the staff at HSN for their care of André during his stay.
