THOMPSON, Roy - In Loving memory of Roy Thompson Peacefully passed away at home at the age of 84 Saturday, March 17th, 2012 Roy was a conductor with CNR for over 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors especially his hunting trips to McKellar with his long time friends. Beloved husband of Eileen (Schumacker) Thompson of Capreol. Loving father of Marie (Ken Fawcett) of Capreol, Austin (Joanie) of Ottawa and Douglas (Karen Jungnitch) of Powder King, B.C. Cherished grandfather of Riley and Lindsey Thompson of Ottawa. Dear brother of Marguerite (Clarence Holmes predeceased) of Parry Sound, Irene (Herman Irwin predeceased) of Belvedere Hts., Doreen (Ralph Irwin) both predeceased, Elizabeth (Ralph Irwin predeceased) of Pickering, Gerald predeceased (Patricia of Elmira), Arnold (Una) of Gravenhurst, Herbert (Karen) of McKellar), Mary Gwendolyn (Eric Lawson) of Parry Sound, Margaret predeceased and Kenneth (Connie Sheridan) of Midland. Dear brother-in-law of Mona and Ernest Mandrusiak of Victoria, B.C., Patricia Chouinor predeceased and Cedric Hummel predeceased and Doris of Niagara Falls. Predeceased by his parents Austin and Edna Thompson and in-laws Harry and Rose Carr. Special friend of Gwen and Bruce Franklin and Joe Close. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Cynthia, Adele, Cherie and Owen Fawcett. Memorial Visitation will be held at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer. A Memorial Service will be held in the Trinity United Church 72 Young Street, Capreol Saturday, April 7th, 2012 at 11am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Trinity United Church, Capreol or the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum would be appreciated. (Friends may call from 1- 4pm Friday April 6th).
