TOFFOLI, Jane (nee St.Pierre)

In Loving Memory of our dear mother Jane Toffoli who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 89.

Jane was the beloved wife of Rudy Toffoli (predeceased) who she married in Sudbury on August 17, 1957.  Jane and Rudy would spend 61 years together until Rudy's passing in 2018.

Together Jane and Rudy raised their four children Deborah of Sudbury, Anthony (Debbie Lozner) of Ottawa,  Michael (wife Adele) of Coniston and Vicki of Barrie.

She was the cherished grandmother of Samuel, Emily, Jacob, Nicolas, Alexis and great-grandmother of Callaghan.

She will be missed by Jacob, Nicolai, and Alexis's mother Annie Legault as they shared a special bond.

Jane will be missed by Rudy's brother Tom and his wife Yvonne of North Bay and Rudy's sister Evelyn Gazdic (Steve predeceased) of Azilda.

Jane was born March 9, 1934 in Rouyn, Quebec to Bill and Cora St. Pierre (both predeceased) moving to Sudbury as a  child.   She was a loving sister to Florence St. Pierre (predeceased). Jane worked for Bell Canada for 7 years, then  Cooperators Insurance until her retirement in 1989.

Jane found great pleasure in her art work, cross stitching , reading, travelling and recently diamond art.  She loved getting her daily phone calls from her daughters who will miss their mother very much.

Jane resided the last 9 years at the Walford Retirement Residence.  The family would like to thank the staff for their care and compassion shown to their mother, especially Trina.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Tom Crichton, Jane's family doctor who provided her with great care, all of the nurses at Health Sciences North, Dr. Dumais and Roxanne who guided us during our mother's final days.

At Jane's request, there will be no visitation or service.  She will be interred with her husband at the Civic Memorial Cemetery.

It was a “wonderful world” with Mamma!

In lieu of donations, the family requests that you hug someone as their mother and grandmother loved to receive and give hugs. (Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home)
