TREASURE, Gordon - Quietly, with his family at his side, Gordon passed away on April 26th, 2012 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Eileen (Pitman) for 64 years. Father of Reid of Lively, Heather (Lou) of Niagara Falls, Kirk (Noella) of Lively, Glenna (Ken) of Lively. Grandfather to Blake, Dawn, Chris, Daryl and Mark. Great Grandfather to Kylie and Ashlyn. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Glenna (Handy) Treasure. Predeceased by his sisters Glenna “Queenie“ Treasure, Vera Clark, and Viola “Vi“ Hamill-Reid. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Stoke St. Michael, England. Long-time resident of Creighton, where he worked at INCO as a foreman. He joined the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa in 1940 and served in the Second World War. He was an avid sportsman and had many good times hunting and fishing at his cherished camp on Lake Penage. In later years he and Eileen spent many hours working around the transplant table at their daughters' garden centre with good friends Aini and Svante Rautiainen, where they shared many laughs and stories. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Sunday, April 29th, 2012 at 3pm. Interment in the Waters Cemetery. Donations to the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated. (Friends may call from 1pm-3pm Sunday).
