TURGEON, Alphonse - Passed away peacefully at his home, St-Gabriel's Villa in Chelmsford, Saturday, June 9th, 2012 surrounded by his family, at the age of 83 years. Son of the late Amédée and the late Rose Anna (née Langlade) Turgeon. Beloved husband of Jeanne (née Cataford) Turgeon of Chelmsford and the late Georgette (née Fex). Loving father of Georges (Paula MacPhearson) and Pierre (Danielle) both of Ottawa, Thérèse Marcotte (Pierre) of Sudbury and Louise Turgeon (Alain Létourneau) of North Bay. Dear brother of Maria Hope (late Ted) of Peterborough. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Roland (late Blanche), Philias (late Lucienne), Ovila (late Germaine), Cédulie “Sadie“ Robillard (late Rosario), Thomas (late Florence), Marguerite Boyer (late David), Laurette Wilson (late Lou), Aldéa Pulano (late Dominic “Babe“), Edmond and Omer. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Georges Jr., Michelle (Jim), Marie Pierrette, Margurite, Pierre Jr., Denise (Eric), Randy (Sabrina), Eric, Lynne, Marie- Anne, Marc-André and by his 11 great- grandchildren. Will be greatly missed by Bill Fex (Judi), many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at St-Gabriel's Villa for the excellent care provided to Alphonse during his time there. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 13th, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in St-Dominique's Church, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Villa St-Gabriel's Villa would be greatly appreciated.
