The family announces with great sorrow her passing Friday, March 15, 2024, at the age of 69 years.
Loving Mum to Ryk (Richard) Simpson (spouse: Esther Chung), Season Simpson, and Kimberly Pelland (Nee Simpson, spouse: Mitch Pelland). Adoring Nana to Brent Simpson (partner: Gabrielle), Joshua Larocque, Cale Simpson, Alyssa Larocque, Owen Simpson, Kaidin Pelland, Isaac Simpson, and Nathan Pelland. Daughter of the late Colette ( née Doucette) Aspirot, the late Elmo Joseph, the late Marcel Aspirot, and surviving stepmother Mariette McDonald (nee Breault). Beloved sister of Gilles Aspirot (spouse: Lorraine), Clairette Duguay (spouse: Norm), Raymond Aspirot (partner: Bernadette), Brigette Audette (spouse: Andrew). Stepsister to Marlene Viau (spouse: Norm) and Gilles McDonald (spouse: Rachel). Pre-deceased by her stepbrothers Richard McDonald and Danny McDonald. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Diane passed away peacefully looking at the stars and enjoying the nature she loved so much.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 2pm to 5pm (words of remembrance begin at 3:30pm) at the Lougheed Funeral Home Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer.
