UITTO, Alli Annikki (nee Kariluoma) - 1925-2010 - The family announces with sadness the passing of Alli Annikki Uitto at the age of 85 years at the Timmins and District Hospital. She passed away peacefully on Friday May 7, 2010, after a short illness. Predeceased by her husband Ilmari. Survived by her children Aino Fontaine (Robert) of Sudbury and Henry (Rose) of Timmins; her grandchildren Greg Fontaine (Melissa) of Sudbury, Brent Fontaine (Diana) of Sudbury and Rick Uitto (Kim) of Timmins and great grandchildren Cooper and Emma of Sudbury. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Rauha Kari and Ritva Kari. Predeceased by her parents Adolf and Senja Kariluoma and by her brothers Arvo (John) Kari and Paavo (Paul) Kari. Alli was born in Jurva Finland and came to Canada in 1951 to settle in Timmins. She worked for numerous years at Canamax Exploration and Bupont Motors. Alli was a faithful member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and St. John's Lutheran Church. Thank you to Helen Gadoury for her many years of dedicated care. Special thanks to the caring medical and nursing staff on the 2nd floor at Timmins and District Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 11 at 2 pm in the LESSARD- STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations made to the Timmins and District Hospital or to St. John's Lutheran Church will be greatly appreciated.
