VERGE, Harry M. - In Loving Memory of Harry M. Verge 89 years Peacefully, Wednesday morning April 10th, 2013 at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury with his loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Nina (Langille) Verge predeceased 2003. Loving father of Charles (Joan) of North Bay, George (Debbie), Dale (Sharon), Gord (Karen), Nancy (Tim Russell) and Glenda Desjardins all of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Peter (Kathy), Kelly, Natalie, Timothy, Eric (Denise), David, Dale, Ashley, Rebecca, Jessica, Keith, Sherri-Anne (Jamie), Bonnie Jean (Thomas), great grandfather to Sarah (Tim), Jamie-Ann, Ryan, Victoria, Liam and great great grandfather to Matthew, Adam and Joshua. Dear son of Harry and Laura (Smith) Verge both predeceased. Dear brother of Lewis and Elaine both predeceased. Born and raised in Nova Scotia where he married Nina (Langille) in 1939. A proud Canadian, he served overseas during WWII with the Canadian Army. He was a member of the R.C.L. Branch 224, Copper Cliff and the War Pensioners of Canada. He had been a rig operator at INCO having 38 years service. After retirement he had been a Commissioner at the Taxation Center. Harry was an avid Montreal Canadian Hockey Fan. He was devoted to his loving family and he was happiest when in their company. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday under the auspices of the War Pensioners of Canada.
