1946-2022

Your Father has come to take you home. He knew it was time for you to rest as you became weary. Eddy passed away with family by his side on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Health Sciences North after a short illness. Son of the late Anthony and Cecilia Visneskie (née Mask). Predeceased by his wife Sylvia Visneskie (née Boyer). Predeceased by his daughter Rose Mcnabb. Sadly missed by his stepdaughter Joanne Pidutti (Enio), predeceased by his stepson Michael White. Survived by sisters, Rose Schinkel (late Jack) and Sally Cook (late Ray), brother Tony (Helen) and sister-in-law Barbara.  Predeceased by brothers Thomas (Tommy), Joe (Theresa), John (Shirley), Alex and sisters Agnes Narezny (late Walter), Jeanne Doucette (late George) and baby Frances. Cherished grandfather to Bob Bertrand, Brad Bertrand, and Tara Stoppa. Loving great grandpa to Keira, Jack, Brooklyn, and Weston.

Eddy worked at INCO/VALE and gave 42 years of dedicated service, retiring in 2007 from the transportation department. He was once awarded a monetary prize for an idea he suggested that would go on to save INCO thousands of dollars when put into practice.

Eddy was a devout Catholic who helped feed the under privileged people of Sudbury with his kind and generous donations to the soup kitchen. In his younger years Eddy loved to be at the family cottage in the Ottawa Valley playing the guitar while Sylvia sang, and family members played the harmonica. The family shared some wonderful times together. Eddy will be missed dearly. In keeping with Eddy’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Donations can be made in his memory to The Blue Door Soup Kitchen https://bluedoorsoup.ca/#embed-form. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
