VOLPEL, Martin Godfrey - In loving memory of Martin Godfrey Volpel, 58 years, Monday, May 13th, 2013 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Karen (LaBrash) Volpel of Lively. Loving father of Kristopher. Dear son of Godfrey and Kay Volpel both predeceased. Dear brother of Stephanie (Carmen Flora predeceased) of Lively. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. Born in Sudbury, Martin worked as an Industrial Millwright with Domtar and then ABS Manufacturing. He was an active outdoors man with a multitude of interests, over his life he enjoyed Nordic and alpine skiing, motorcycling, canoeing, hiking, power boating, sailing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, travelling and time at the cottage. His famous words “I'm in!“ represents his fun loving and joy of life. Even through his illness he had no resentments, instead a true gratitude for the many gifts of his life. Martin shared his love with family, friends and his canine pals. The values of his life improved with age and allowed the quality of his soul to shine through. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Friday, May 17th, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. (Friends may call 2-4; 7-9 p.m. Thursday or after 10:30 a.m. Friday).
