In loving memory of Novemia “Nema” Volpini (nee Paci), 97 years who passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Health Sciences North.
Beloved daughter of Cesare and Anna Paci both predeceased and sister to Gert, Molly, Am and Deborah all predeceased. Loving wife of Bebettino “Bob” Volpini predeceased. Cherished mother of Beverley Tarini (John) and Catherine predeceased. Adored grandmother of Kristen Rogers (Brad) and Christopher Tarini and great grandmother of Riley Rogers. Loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Nema grew up in Little Italy Copper Cliff where she and her best friend of ninety some years Teda Merritt (nee Uguccioni) enjoyed the many things the community had to offer. Nema and Bob left Copper Cliff after they were married in 1955 and moved into their new home in Sudbury. There Nema became a homemaker looking after two young girls while her husband Bob worked in the Hotel Business.
They enjoyed spending summers at the family cottage on St. Charles Lake, travelling and playing poker with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the staff of the 2nd and 5th floors of Extendicare York and the 5th floor, South Tower of Health Sciences North for their care. If you wish, a donation to your favourite charity can be made in her honour.
Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan St., Sudbury on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11am. (Friends may gather at the church after 10:30am Thursday). Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
