WASNEY, Mary (nee Bosanac) - Peacefully on Thursday, June 10, 2010 in her 85th year at Henderson Hospital, Hamilton, Ont. Mary beloved wife of Alec for 63 years. Loving and loved mother of Bill (Diane Gowans), Lillian (David Duncan), Rick, Darlene (Richard Amero) and Marilyn (Drew Innes). Cherished grandmother of Belinda, Dash, Lindsay (Mick) and Scott (Celena). Beloved great-grandmother of Laughlin and Malakhai. Precious daughter of the late Anna & Frank Bosanac Sr. Dear sister of Frank (Mirjana and their children Anthony and David) and Zenka. Sadly missed by her many sisters and brothers-in- law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born in Croatia, Mary came to Canada (Schumacher) in 1938, later becoming a long time resident of Garson, Ontario before moving to Hamilton in 1999. She was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union and Catholic Women's League. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, chaplin, and staff at Henderson Hospital (Hematology/Oncology) and Father Coyle of Annunciation Church. Resting at the PAUL O'CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E., (between Warden & Pharmacy) from 6-9 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. in Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (Victoria Park south of Ellesmere). Interment Pine Hills Cemetery.
