WEBSTER, Ross Alexander - In loving memory of Ross Alexander Webster, 85 years. It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved husband of 62 years to Jean (nee Stephenson). Loving father of Barbara Millsap of Sudbury, David (Carolyn) of Richmond Hill, Donald (Kim) of Thessalon. Cherished grandfather of Benjamin, Elizabeth, Ronald, Rachel, Tracy and great grandfather of Jamie. Ross was born in Toronto in 1926, served with the Royal Canadian Navy in WWII, joined the Ontario Provincial Police in 1949 with his first posting in Port Arthur followed by postings in Nakina, Nipigon, Foleyet, Sudbury, Toronto, Waterdown and Chatham. Ross retired in1982 with the rank of Staff Sargent. Ross was a fifty year member of the Masonic Lodge. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the caring and passionate care provided by the sixth floor medical and nursing staff at Health Sciences North. A celebration of his Life will take place in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury on Friday, March 16 2012 at 1 p.m. (Friends may gather after 12 noon on Friday). In lieu of flowers donations to the Sudbury VON Day Centre, Canadian Diabetes Association, Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
