In loving memory of David White who passed away suddenly on July 27, 2021 at the age of 64, after a short battle with brain cancer. Eldest son of Gordon White (predeceased) and Irene White and brother to Gordon White (Janet Irving-White), Amanda Mainville (Denis Mainville), Stephen White, and Shelley Belford.   Dave was born in North Bay and came to Sudbury with his family at the age of 12.

He built a life in Sudbury with his first wife, DJ White. He cherished his children Sarah White (fiancé Devin McNeil), and Matthew White (Kelsey Shaw), showing it through quality time, especially coaching and attending their many athletic pursuits. Sarah and Matt were his proudest achievements.

Later, Dave took on the adventures of life with his current wife, Heather Cowley, and their blended family, travelling the world and spending time at his favourite place – their camp on Trout Lake. He was beloved by his stepdaughters Justine Martin (Rob Burlington) and Andie Martin (fiancé Greg McGarry) and his loyal pups Gracie and Peach.

As an Honours Graduate of Laurentian University in Physical Education, Dave remained committed to the University, previously serving as an Executive Member on the Board of Directors. He was an active and appreciated member of the community, having spent many years as a Chief Petty Officer of the Sea Cadets, Rotarian and was currently Vice President of The Admiral Mountbatten Alumni Association. Through these many activities and hobbies, he effortlessly cultivated countless friendships along the way.

With his gift of gab and warm, genuine personality, Dave had a successful life excelling in multiple fields of work, primarily pharmaceutical sales where he met several loyal friends and colleagues. As a lifelong learner, he recently completed a small engine repair program to continue pursuing his passions after retirement. He just couldn’t sit idle.

He will also be missed greatly by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. All friends and family are welcome for visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Sunday August 1st, 2021 between 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm.
