WHITE, Gordon William (Bill) - In Loving Memory of Gordon William (Bill) White August 2, 1930 - July 18, 2010. Bill White, a resident of Mindemoya, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the age of 79 years. He was born at Brandon, Manitoba, son of the late William Henry and Evelyn Noreen (Hosie) White. Bill was a member of the O.P.P. for many years, and as the first policeman in Mindemoya, the Police Station was in the basement of his house. Bill had a variety of interests, including golf, curling, swimming, skiing at Searchmount and was always seen around town riding his bicycle. Through caring community service, Bill touched so many, especially as he ensured that no one did without a special Christmas. He will be sadly missed, but many precious memories will be cherished. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Elyan. Loving and loved father of Wendy and husband Michael Bondi of Mindemoya, Gordon and his wife Janice of Toronto and Michael and his wife Kim of London. Proud grandfather of Amanda and Kevin, Alex, Christine, Nicole, and Matthew and great grandchildren Colby and Marshal. Dear brother of Katherine Vandusen of Brockville, and Gerald White of Brockville. Predeceased by brothers Bob and Raymond. Survived by sisters in law Betty of Havelock and Grace of North Bay. Loved by many nieces and nephews who will miss him. Cremation will take place. A Memorial Funeral Service will be conducted at our Lady of Canada Church, Mindemoya on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 12.00 p.m. with Fr. Jim Kelly officiating.
