WICKETT, Murray - Born: April 24, 1943, Died: January 14, 2013. It is with great sorrow that the family of Murray Wickett announces his death in Arizona. It was sudden, and unexpected, and a great shock to us all. Murray is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen, his daughter Shannon Loyer (husband Keith) of Barrie, his daughter Erin Wickett Duff, (husband Kevin) of North Bay, his brother Rod and wife Lynda of North Bay. He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Andrea Loyer, Chad Wickett, Sarah Loyer, and Connor Duff. Murray was an uncle to Jason, Derek and Brent, and friend to many. Living his life in North Bay and Sudbury, Murray was retired from the Conservation Authority in Sudbury but he never retired from his first love: music. Murray was a professional musician from the age of 16 until just this winter when he had planned on playing with a group in Arizona. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 19th at the Rorab Shrine Club, 1260 Brook St., North Bay, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
