Heidi Willard, a vibrant and beautiful soul who lived her life to the fullest, passed away on September 30, 2023. This leaves a void in our lives and hearts, but her legacy of love, laughter, and adventurous spirit will forever remain etched in our memories.

Heidi is predeceased by her first love – husband Leonard Willard (1999).

Heidi is survived by her kids, Skeet and Montana, who were her greatest joy and source of inspiration. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love and adventure will continue to guide us through life's journeys. Heidi was a devoted mother. She cherished her kids above all else, always putting their needs first and creating endless memories together. She guided, taught, and led them with wisdom, and her legacy as a loving and dedicated mother will continue to shine through them.

She is also survived by partner Jim Brenton, with whom she was planning a lifetime of great adventures, mother Marguerite (Gunny) Heino, Nana Bertha Heino, former husband JP StOnge and countless beloved family and friends.

Heidi dedicated herself to Glencore for the past 12 years. Her ambition was to work in production mining and was thrilled when it finally happened for her this year. Working underground was something she cherished, and she consistently gave it her all, just as she did in every aspect of her life.

Heidi was never one to shy away from a new adventure. In fact, the crazier and more unconventional, the better! Her adventurous spirit knew no limits, and she had an uncanny ability to rally everyone around her to join in on the fun. #MyHappyPlace was not just a hashtag for Heidi; it was a way of life. She had an unparalleled passion for the great outdoors, and her camp was her sanctuary. She spent countless hours under the open sky, surrounded by the beauty of nature, and her happiness was infectious to anyone lucky enough to join her on those adventures.

Her laughter was one-of-a-kind, filling the hearts of those around her with warmth and joy. Heidi felt things deeply, and her authentic nature allowed her to bring out the best in everyone she encountered. Her advice was always spot-on (whether you wanted it or not), a testament to her wisdom and caring spirit. She was a fiercely loyal friend and partner, continually developing her relationships with all her heart and energy.

Heidi was a woman of unwavering principles and a powerful voice that demanded to be heard. Her headstrong and outspoken nature had a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She stood by her convictions, no matter the challenges that came her way.

In Heidi’s honour, let us remember her for the remarkable, one-of-a-kind woman she was. Her laughter, her love, and her zest for life will forever be cherished by all those she leaves behind.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Onaping Legion, 3 St. James Street, Onaping Falls.
