WOOD, Elizabeth Joan (Edwards) - In loving memory of Elizabeth Joan (Edwards) Wood 79 years Friday, May 3rd, 2013 at Health Sciences North. Beloved wife of Roy Wood predeceased 2007. Loving mother of Jim Encil (Cathy) of Capreol, Alex Encil (Lori) of Sault Ste Marie, Roy Wood of Sudbury and Wayne Wood (Rebecca) of Trenton. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Laura, James, Tabitha, Krista, Dawn, Chad, Chase and great grandchildren Taylor, Alyssa, Marshall, Devon, Bailey, Mathew and Ryan. Dear daughter of Jack and Lillian Edwards both predeceased. Dear sister of Margaret Fife of Chapleau, Lillian Boyd of Kagawong and predeceased by Earl. Born in Pembroke, she worked at S. S. Kresge's Department Store for many years. She volunteered with the Canadian Hearing Society, she was an avid reader and skilled at needlepoint and knitting, creating many keepsakes for family and friends. Prior to her illness, Elizabeth was very active and enjoyed meeting her friends at the “Rainbow Center Coffee Club“. She was loved greatly and will be sadly missed by all who knew and cared for her. Special thanks to Debra from the Red Cross, Nicole from Bayshore and the doctors and nurses on the 6th Floor South Tower HSN for their care and kindness. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at 7pm. (Friends may gather after 6:30pm Wednesday). Cremation.
