YAWNEY, John - The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the age of 60 years. Son of Pauline (nee Puhach) and Michael Yawney (predeceased). Beloved husband of Fay Hobin and proud father of John Jr (wife Eli). Dear brother of Steve (Theresa), Marie Dobson (Richard), Helen Lacko (George), Michael (Roma), David (Pat), Sam (Karen), Nolina Gauthier, Cathy Scott (Frank), Maggie, Sharon Somers (Basil), Polly (Brian Kameka), Rachel Morris (Joe), Ruta Semeniuk (Bob) and Tim (MC). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as his four legged friends, Coco and Harmony. John was a caring gentle giant with a heart of gold who spent many years caring for family and friends, as well as Baba's chauffeur, picking blueberries, cutting grass, shoveling snow, and was the one called upon to fix or set up the electronics. Known for his appreciation of nature and love of gardening John spent many hours in his tomato patch in summer and keeping the ducks in Junction Creek fed in winter. The family will receive friends at JACKSON and BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St Sudbury, Friday October 26 from 2 till 5 pm. Funeral Service will be at 7pm in the R.J. Barnard Chapel.
