In loving memory of Bill “Wasyl” Zaharia, born April 4th, 1921 who passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Pioneer Manor on Saturday, July 15th 2023.
Predeceased by his loving wife May of 72yrs, in 2015 and his son Richard in 2010. Sadly missed by his son William (Lynn), grandsons Steve (Robyn), Robert (Vanessa), niece Amanda (Terrence), great granddaughters Cloe, Milhani and great grandson Koa and several nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Canora, Saskatchewan and moved to Sudbury in 1940. He was a member of the Sudbury Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He loved golf and fishing at their cottage.
He lived everyday to the fullest and loved his family. Bill, our father, will be missed always but remembered with great love forever. Special thanks to Dr. Tom and Sarah Crighton, Sherri McArthur and Roxanne McGrath of NE Local Health Unit, Maria Munita of Home Instead and Laurie Rossignol and all the staff at Pioneer Manor. At Bill’s request, there will be no public visitation or service.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Sudbury Alzheimer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Center would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Homes.
