ZAITZ, Tom - In loving memory of Tom Zaitz, 90 years, Tuesday April 2, 2013 at the St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Opal (Dusick) Zaitz. Loving step father to Diana Forth (husband Robert) and Dan Dusick (wife Judy). Cherished grandfather of Terra Messier (husband Rolland) and Darryl Dusick (wife Carie and great grandchildren Nathen, Jonathon, Samara and Abigail. Dear son of Nicholas and Mary (Shatkosky) Zaitz predeceased. Dear brother of Joe Zaitz (Audrey) and predeceased by Bill Zaitz and KayYakiwchuk. Sadly missed by nieces & nephews. Special cousin to Sylvia Shuckry and special uncle to Barbara Zaitz (Norm). Tom was a well respected community leader who truly made a difference in building a more caring and sharing Sudbury. He had been an engineer at INCO for over 30 years. He served as a city councillor, he was an active member of the Sudbury Shrine Club and he had helped with many worthy causes in the community. Tom will be remembered as a determined passionate person whose leadership and hard work inspired all who knew him. He can echo the words of St. Paul - I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St Sudbury. Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9 Thursday and after 12 noon Friday. Funeral Service in the Jackson Barnard Chapel, Friday April 5th, 2013 at 1 pm. Interment in the family plot at Parklawn Cemetery.
