ZORZI, Maddalena “Lena“ C. (nee Bettiol) - In loving memory of Maddalena “Lena“ C. Zorzi (nee Bettiol), 79 years, Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Giuseppe “Joe“ Zorzi. Loving mother of Lucia (husband Doug McLarty) and Jimmy Zorzi predeceased. Cherished grandmother of Stephen and Patricia. Dear sister of Eliseo and Elio and predeceased by Ellsea, Primo and Mario. Special sister in law to Bruna Zorzi (husband Marco predeceased). Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Italy, Lena moved to Coniston in 1953 where she married Giusseppe Zorzi. A devout Roman Catholic she attended St. Paul the Apostle Church and was a life member of the parish CWL. An accomplished crocheter, her creations are treasured by relatives and friends. An avid gardener, her green thumb produced beautiful flowers and bountiful vegetables. She will be remembered as a very caring and honest person who had a wonderful sense of humour. The light of her love will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday only with parish prayers at 3 p.m. and a reception at 5 p.m. in the Funeral Home). Funeral Mass in St. Paul the Apostle Church, Coniston, Monday, May 6th, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment in the Civic Cemetery, Sudbury.
