Man arrested after allegedly striking cars, firing gunshots in Toronto: police

Toronto police say they've arrested a man who allegedly struck other cars with his vehicle and fired gunshots. 

Toronto Police Service spokesman David Hopkinson says they received a report of a man striking other cars and fleeing the scene just before 8 a.m. on Christmas Day.

Hopkinson says officers found him and a vehicle near an underground parking lot in the Hilton Avenue and St. Clair Avenue West area 

He says they arrested the man after he allegedly fired shots from a firearm following a struggle.  

He says some officers received injuries during the arrest, but they were not serious. 

Police did not give any other details about the suspect.
