Man surrenders to Toronto police after double shooting leads to homicide

Toronto police have arrested and charged a 30-year-old man with second degree murder after the double shooting of two men on Sunday.

Police say they were called to Victoria Park Ave. and Sheppard Ave. East area on Sunday night where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both men were taken to hospital, where one of them died.

Later Sunday, a 30-year-old man surrendered to police at 43 Division where he was arrested and charged.

He was scheduled to appear via video at Old City Hall on Monday.

Investigators are asking for any witnesses in the area or anyone with any security footage, to contact police.
