Post-mortem complete, scene released by police in Thunder Bay, Ont., homicide

THUNDER BAY, Ont. — Police in Thunder Bay, Ont., say a post-mortem has been completed in the death of a 31-year-old man that's considered a homicide.

The department's major crimes unit is investigating the death of Christopher David Meeseetawagesic, who was found dead in the city on Sunday morning.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who had contact with the man in the days leading up to his death.

They say a post-mortem examination was completed in Toronto on Wednesday, though they have not released the cause of death.

A spokesman for Thunder Bay police says investigators held the scene where the man's body was found from Sunday morning until Wednesday.

Scott Paradis says the investigation is "progressing well," but offered no other details.
