Suspended B.C. Mountie facing voyeurism and sexual assault charges in Ottawa

OTTAWA — Police say a suspended Mountie from Richmond, B.C., faces voyeurism and sexual assault charges in Ottawa.

The Ottawa Police Service says 35-year-old Andrew Seangio has been charged with 34 counts of voyeurism and three counts of sexual assault involving six women he knew.

Police say Seangio was suspended from the Richmond RCMP after he was charged in March with voyeurism, seven counts of indecent acts and three counts of exposing himself to children.

A news release says the alleged offences occurred between 2011 and 2018 when Seangio was living in Ottawa.

The Ottawa department says they began looking into the suspect after being contacted by Vancouver police in January to help with an investigation involving indecent acts at a private school.

Police say there may be further victims and ask any women who were in Seangio’s residence in Ottawa between October 2015 and 2017 to contact them.
