A 28-year-old Chapleau man has been charged with various drug and driving offences after being pulled over by Greater Sudbury Police earlier this month.

The man's vehicle was stopped and searched in Chelmsford Sept. 8. 

Officers found 376.8 grams of cocaine, 60.85 grams of cannabis marijuana and 14 codeine pills in the vehicle. The drugs seized had a value of more than $38,000. Police also seized more than $1,500 in Canadian currency.

The suspect was arrested and charged with the following — possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime, driving while under suspension and using plates not authorized for motor vehicle.
