Alleged credit card fraudster wanted by police

Greater Sudbury Police have an outstanding warrant for the arrest of 29-year-old Chad Leroux, who is wanted for allegedly stealing a credit card and using it fraudulently.

Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to his arrest.

It's alleged that between May 3 and Nov. 22 of last year, Leroux, who is of no fixed address but from the Greater Sudbury area, stole the credit card and used it on “numerous occasions” for purchases and cash advances.

He is wanted on the following charges: seven counts of personation with intent to gain advantage (identity fraud), seven counts of fraud under $5,000 and property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Leroux is described as 6-0, 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He turns 30 years old July 22.
