Blaze closes King Street for two hours

A King Street house fire on Feb. 15 is under investigation by Sudbury Fire Services. One person suffered minor smoke inhalation and was treated and released at the scene, but two dogs and a cat were lost in the blaze.

A King Street house fire on Feb. 15 is under investigation by Sudbury Fire Services.

One person suffered minor smoke inhalation and was treated and released at the scene, but two dogs and a cat were lost in the blaze.

The house suffered moderate fire, heat and smoke damage, according to a news release from the fire department.

Greater Sudbury Police were on scene, redirecting traffic. The road near the fire remained closed for about two hours.
