Original - On April 11,  members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service attended Ecole Sacre Coeur at 261 Notre Dame Avenue in relation to a bomb threat.  Upon arrival, the area was contained and an investigation commenced.

As a result of consultation with members of the Conseil scolaire de district catholique du Nouvel-Ontario, it was decided a full school evacuation would take place.  As a result, students were moved by bus to a neighbouring school to finish their day.

At this point in time, the investigation is continuing. As a security measure, bomb sniffing dogs have been called in to sweep the school in an attempt to locate any suspicious items.
