Boy, 13, arrested in pellet gun shooting

Greater Sudbury Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy following a pellet gun shooting at a park behind the Capreol Arena.

Greater Sudbury Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy following a pellet gun shooting at a park behind the Capreol Arena.

According to police, the boy was firing shots into the air with the pellet gun Friday when a stray pellet struck another youth in the leg, causing some redness. The boy then fled the area.

Police arrested the boy Saturday, charging him with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon.
