A motor vehicle collision, on MR#15 between Val Caron and Azilda at 7:58 on Dec. 22, resulted in serious injuries and death.
When officers arrived it was determined that one vehicle had crossed the centre line and was struck head on by an approaching vehicle. The collision resulted in serious injuries to both drivers the lone occupants. They were transported to St. Joseph Health Centre where they are listed in serious condition.
A person who witnessed the collision, stopped to assist the victims, collapsed and died at the scene. The reason for the sudden death is not known and this case is currently under investigation by the coroner’s office.
Police are asking any persons with information to contact the traffic unit.
