Critical injuries in overnight pickup rollover on Lasalle

Lasalle Boulevard was partially closed for more than six hours overnight after a single-vehicle rollover collision that resulted in critical injuries.

Greater Sudbury Police officers were dispatched to the scene of the collision at around 9:55 p.m. Nov. 7.

Officers arrived on scene and located a pickup truck on its roof in the area of the Lasalle ramp heading westbound from Lasalle Boulevard onto the Lasalle/Maley extension. 

City of Greater Sudbury Fire Services extracted the driver and sole occupant from the vehicle.

The 23-year-old man was transported to hospital by City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services in critical condition.

Members of the Traffic Management Unit are investigating the collision and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The road was closed for more than six hours while Investigators were on scene.
