A driver is facing charges after a head-on collision on Lasalle Boulevard shortly after 6 p.m. Monday evening.

Greater Sudbury Police say a pickup truck travelling east on Lasalle crossed the centre line into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with an SUV.

The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck was charged under the Highway Traffic Act.

Both vehicles were severely damaged in the collision.
