Greater Sudbury Police are reminding everyone that All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) are not allowed on any street or highway within the City of Greater Sudbury. Operating an ATV on a highway carries a minimum fine of $110.
Also, six motorcycle operators were charged with having an improper muffler and also received $110 fines. The police are reminding everyone that it is illegal to have a muffler that is not in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive noise and smoke.
Improper mufflers include:
*cut-off
*straight exhaust
*gutted mufflers
*Hollywood style mufflers
*by-pass or similar devices.
