Espanola man charged with possessing, accessing child pornography

As a result of information received from the Toronto Police Service, officers of the Greater Sudbury Police Service Cyber Crime Unit entered into an investigation regarding an individual possessing and making child pornography available over the Internet, said a news release.

On Feb. 11, officers of the Greater Sudbury Police Service Cyber Crime Unit, the Espanola Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police North East Crime Unit and the Ontario Provincial Police ‘Project P’ attended a residence in the town of Espanola and executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant. 

Several computers and numerous data storage devices were seized.

As a result, Lawrence Bouillon, 44, of Espanola has been charged with the following offences:

1.Possession of child pornography – Two counts
2.Making available child pornography
3.Accessing child pornography
4.Possession of marijuana

Lawrence Bouillon will attend bail court on Feb. 12.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service Cyber Crime Unit is part of the Ontario Provincial Strategy - Internet Crimes against Children which has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services and the Ministry of the Attorney General.
