On the 18thMarch 2007 at approximately 5:00 p.m the Greater Sudbury Fire Department responded to fire in a shed located at Adam and Eve Garden Centre, 1991 Maley Drive, Sudbury.
Upon their arrival fire fighters observed a wooden shed approximately 15’ x 40’ engulfed in flames.
The fire was extinguished and an examination of the scene determined that the fire had been deliberately set. Police were contacted and a criminal investigation was commenced by the Greater Sudbury Police Service.
The police investigation has revealed that two 11 year old and one thirteen year old boys from the area are responsible for the fire. Police have arrested the thirteen year old and charged with setting the fire.
The names of the three individuals responsible cannot be released under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
