Officials have confirmed the identity of one of the two victims of a tragic fire on a St. Charles farm Monday morning.
The body of Carmen Lapalme, 58, was recovered from a home on Casimir Road in the small and tight-knit farming community southeast of Sudbury.
The identity of a second body recovered in the blaze is believed to be of Gerry Lapalme, 61, Carmen?s husband.
Neighbours noticed flames streaming from the Lapalme residence around 5 am Monday. The fire was out of control when firefighters arrived a short time later.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
