If you're heading out on the road for a drive, make sure to bring your driver's licence — especially if you don't plan on following the posted speed limit.

A Greater Sudbury man learned this the hard way in the middle of the night on Jan. 20 when he was pulled over by the Sudbury OPP for speeding on Highway 69.

At around 2 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Highway 69 for speeding. It didn't take them long to find out the 25-year-old behind the wheel had his driver's licence suspended, and charged him accordingly.

The man faces one count of speeding contrary and one count of driving while under suspension.

He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, April 1.
