An Onaping man has been charged with impaired driving after crashing into a police cruiser on Hwy. 144 at Pilon St. Aug. 26 at approximately 2 am.
The two police officers were on routine patrol when the crash happened. They were taken to hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.
According to police, their investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle crossed the centre line before colliding with the cruiser. He was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample.The crash closed the highway for about eight hours.
