Injured accident victim flees the scene

Greater Sudbury Police are on the lookout for a man who fled the scene of an accident Thursday morning, bleeding from a three to four inch laceration on his forehead.

Shortly after midnight, the man was driving a pick-up northbound on Regional Road 55 when he lost control of the steering and ran off the road, colliding with a cement culvert after rolling over. Bleeding from the forehead, the man fled eastbound on Fleming St.

The passenger, who is also the truck's owner said she could not identify the driver.

Witnesses at the scene describe the man as white, about five foot ten inches tall with brown hair and a medium build. He was wearing blue jeans with a black leather jacket.

Despite the best efforts of the police and the canine unit, the man has yet to be located.
